Count Sandor Vajk (Paul Javor) casts off a former lover, Olga Komarowska (Maria Lazar), who dies. Joe Selfridge (Jeno Torzs), a magician, sets out to avenge the dead girl. He employs hypnotism, illusions and Vera (also played by Lazar), the sister of the dead girl, in an effort to punish Vajk, and gain retribution for the death of Olka.
